3134 - SALES & PRODUCT MANAGER - ACOUSTICS

CLIENT:  

A leading North American manufacturer and marketer of leading edge noise control materials and technology for solving acoustical problems across a broad range of industries with over 40 years experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Reporting to a senior Vice President located in Chicago, the successful candidate will identify new potential business opportunities throughout Canada while cultivating relationships with existing customers in order to meet their current and future requirements for noise control solutions. In conjunction with your small staff and a strong technical team in Chicago, you will be responsible for distributor representatives and recommending product improvements on an ongoing basis. You will be responsible for the development and execution of sales and marketing plans based on market analyses. You will have considerable input with respect to sourcing, estimating and pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

The candidate of choice must have a minimum of 7 years industrial sales and management experience, ideally to OEM’s in the non-automotive marketplace including heavy equipment manufacturers, off-road equipment manufacturers and related industries. Prior knowledge and experience with noise control materials such as vibration damping compounds, sound barriers and sound absorbers is highly desirable. Knowledge of material processing and die cutting of acoustical materials would be desirable. Prior drafting and blue print reading as well as sound computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel is required. Preference will be given to candidates with strong technical training, ideally a mechanical engineering technician or technologist and some practical knowledge of acoustics.
